Parallel Systems

Parallel Systems was founded by former SpaceX engineering leaders who recognized an opportunity to decarbonize the freight industry by creating fully autonomous, battery-electric rail vehicles. The challenge for this project was twofold: (1) Attract talent to support the rapidly growing business, and (2) compete with other tech giants – like Tesla, SpaceX, and Google – fishing in the same talent pool.
The design of the site was clean and minimal, but also visually interesting. Using asymmetrical layouts, dramatic typographic contrast, and precise supporting graphics, the look-and-feel was designed to resonate with and excite engineers.
The entire site was built on a strict grid of thin vertical lines to subliminally reinforce the concept of rail travel and to produce a feeling of precision and organization.
Product renderings were dressed with elegant new supporting graphics.
Custom icons were created to highlight important product benefits.
